After the discussion of the options for your new kitchen remodel, we can create a 3D model for you and provide that at no extra charge. The 3D layout will provide the layout from all angles of your new kitchen and also show the various options available to you as we have discussed in our meeting. Colors and finish type will all be adjustable in high definition to provide you with a real feel for the new kitchen.

Kitchen Remodeling Phase I

Chi-Renovation & Design will begin your kitchen remodel at a convenient time for you and your family. Our goal is to help create a more comfortable home by remodeling and minimize any disruptions to your life in the process. We will do our best to coordinate working times around when your family is out of the home or however we can agree to be least disruptive. Also, we will seal off the kitchen using plastic sheeting to minimize dust and noise from penetrating into other parts of your home.

Kitchen Remodeling Phase II

This phase is of the largest and encompasses the vast majority of the work we do on your homes kitchen remodel. We start with demolition of whatever will not remain in the kitchen. This can cover removing old appliances, tearing out cabinetry and flooring, removing lighting and trashing it or keeping it for reuse. We will also start to remove old plumbing and electrical fixtures and connections. We always want to replace as much as is possible to prevent leaks and electrical failures in the future. We will remove all of the old items to a dumpster or haul away in contractor cleanup bags. After we remove all that will be replaced, we start bringing in the new items. First we install new plumbing and electrical fixtures inside of the wall. Seal walls around those fixtures for quality insulation and then repair and replace wall board as necessary. After the walls and fixtures are completed we will start working on the visual portion of the remodeling process. All necessary hardware for cabinetry will be placed and then the cabinetry itself is mounted to that. We take great care to ensure your cabinetry is installed with great care. The importance of caring for the cabinetry prevents any cracking, sagging or loose cabinet doors in the future. After the cabinets are installed, we move on to countertops. The countertops must sit on a very solid foundation, another importance of a quality cabinetry installation. We use very high quality countertops of a wide range of varieties and install them with precision. This careful process prevents any irregularities in the finish or leveling of the countertop. We then finish the backsplash according to plan, often matching it to the countertop. We also seal countertop to backsplash to prevent mold and bacteria from growing. After all countertops are installed we move on to finishing all of the plumbing and electrical connections. We will install the sink and connect that to the plumbing lines as well. Often customers choose to have a garbage disposal installed as well, this is the best time to do so. We will place lighting fixtures at this time as well. Flooring must also be installed at this point before we can proceed. After flooring is installed all finishes are placed such as moldings, receptacle covers and other odds and ends.

Kitchen Remodeling Phase III

The last phase in kitchen remodeling is usually quite quick. After all of the major remodeling is complete, we will clean the kitchen thoroughly and do touch up work as necessary. Upon completion of that, we will install all appliances such as dishwashers, ranges, ovens, refrigerators. Any other specialty appliances will also be installed at this point as well. After all appliances are installed we have completed the third and final phase of kitchen remodeling. The final step is to take you on a tour of your new kitchen. We can go over the entire room with a fine tooth comb and make adjustments as necessary. We also want to show you how to treat the new countertops and floor for years of lasting service. After this, we wish to no longer be in your way. We will be excited to have completed work for you and clean up all of our tools and be out of your way.
